The Undead Syndrome is a bizarre trip that would make anyone question why they’re playing it. But giving the game even a short bit of your time will leave you with an experience that has an unforgettable presentation and atmosphere… for both the right and wrong reasons.

Yoshi has had it rough. Most will point to Yoshi’s Island as the pinnacle of the series. But even with excluding the puzzle games, there’s one other game I think every fan should spend at least some time with.

It’s easy to forget about Spectrobes as it had a fairly short run before puttering out. While sales whimpered with the final release, it did go out with a bang. Spectrobes: Origins is a surprisingly ambitious release for the Wii, featuring RPG and action adventure elements with a bit of monster collecting.

Aconcagua, a PlayStation release from 2000 that’s often misreported as a survival horror game. It’s is a point-and-click adventure that pits five survivors against both environmental and military hazards.

Mega Man Legends is the series first foray into the 3D space. The title came out in a fascinating time as many developers were trying to get their bearings in a 3D world. Mega Man Legends fails in some areas, but also impresses with its ambitious design and variety of gameplay elements that go well beyond what the series’ past formula.
